tbh i'd use an electric as a daily
but for a roadtrip, sticking to gas
My experience is that for anything up to 500km in a go electric is superior, for longer trips ICE and electric are about the same.
Then again, I live in mountainous and fjord-riddled landscape where the overall average speed of travel for my last 600km round trip was a piddly 67km/h, so taking a couple of rest stops for charging, coffee refill and urinating along the way is natural.
Seeing as gasoline is at just under 2.20€/L 9$/Gal. these days, electric becomes a lot more attractive as well.

you're lucky, with the charge stations.
how do hotels handle them in euro?

Hotel parking is quite shit tbh, with massive variations of course.
Last time I was in Alta for business the hotel I stayed at had 3kW slow charging on 15 spots included in the parking fee for example, and two gas stations with fast chargers within a km and a tesla super charger a bit further out, and probably more public charging that I didn't notice as I was driving a diesel at the time.
OTOH a couple of my local supermarkets have free parking spots with 7.2kW chargers, but you can only park for an hour.

We're not lucky with the charging stations, it is a conscious effort to provide infrastructure that isn't being actively obstructed by crusty oil-money funded conservative pillocks.
