What was America like before 9/11?


You could go to an Airport without being patted down by a Muslim TSA worker.

People actually socialized. Didn't use their cell phones as much (if they had them). Cons: Cellphones had certain "minutes" like day, night, weekend.

The internet's news feed was not controlled by a few oligarchs.

Really cool innovative shit every day it seemed. Not saying it doesn't happen now. But we really have just improved over tech the last ten years.

i barely remember it as 9/11 happened when i was 5 but things seemed more chill back then

in my gym class in 2003, our gym teacher said we weren't going to play dodgeball anymore because having human targets was "inappropriate considering whats going on in Iraq"

we had a 1500k connection at the time and i used to brag about it to my friends
isn't 1.5mbps still like 500pbps by present day australian standards
