I've tried amanitas and it wasn't remotely the same. It was a sickly dissociative sort of vibe with visual distortions instead of normal hallucinations. Given I've only ever taken an eighth or more of psilocybin, so couldn't speak to how lower doses feel
It's really not that difficult, you just have to pay attention to what you're doing and keep the process clean. Once you've inoculated your substrate you really shouldn't need to open your grow container again unless you need to adjust humidity for some reason but that wouldn't be necessary if your set-up is on point.
Fair enough point in being willing to pay a premium though. I used to use a .onion site that only offered psilocybin and weed but they got shut down. If you can find a safe alternative I'd suggest going that route if you're stuck on not doing your own grow. I used to get these insane $20 chocolate bars that would melt your world

Well more power to you. I just know I absolutely hated the side effects and the "trip" was one I'd rather not go on again. There's been reports of tainted or overly strong amanita gummies and such making people sick, so maybe I got a bad batch. Conversely there's also supposedly companies slipping psilocybin into things labeled as only amanita, so maybe you got some good ones. Either way, hope you don't overdo it. It's not difficult to OD on amanita and it can be lethal compared to psilocybin
