Historically anything outside the big three, Wiki-Forum-IRC (discord now idk) has been cancer, which is fine the facebook groups over the years have be a great funnel of good funny times. The difference is facebook, twitter, reddit runs themselves. If an account gets shut down=start a new one. Hosting a chan is a whole other kind of beast, it would require dedicated staff, time and revenue. Besides, what would we offer to get 4channers to come shit in our house, brand recognition? There's still a lot of work to be done on that front.
IDK, it might be more than a different brand of circle jerk, I have doubts, but maybe.
