That's the general consensus. And make no mistake, I agree.
But with the US government and media owned by AIPAC they are really pushing for Middle East War fought for the jews version 3.0. Which I suspect will happen very soon, perhaps in about a year (have to give Sec Pete Hegseth enough time to rebuild the forces after being decimated by Biden) and will last for 25-30 years (following the trend) and quite possibly be the last war the US fights, not because it will destroy the world but because it will destroy the US financially and in order to get out of debt the nation will have to have a revolution to absolve itself of previously held debt. The debt will "die" with the old nation.
Remember it wasn't too long ago that US politicians on "both sides" were claiming that a nuclear exchange with Russia was winnable. These boomer politicians have to fucking go. And to be completely honest there is a lot of Xgenners riding the boomer bandwagon of "war-ing the nation into fiscal solvency.
