Second US pilot rescued from ‘deep in enemy territory’ as Trump hails ‘daring’ mission
AN American pilot missing since ejecting from his fighter jet has been rescued in a dramatic dawn raid, Donald Trump confirmed this morning.
Gunfire was exchanged as special operations troops carried out the hours-long rescue mission deep within enemy territory, a US official told Al Jazeera.
The president hailed it as “one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in US History”.
