CBS News has reported that law enforcement say their leading theory in Nashville's downtown bombing on Christmas is the suspect may have been killed in the explosion. The network's Senior Investigative Correspondent Catherine Herridge reported DNA tests are being done on the remains found at the scene on 2nd Avenue, to determine if they belong to the suspect. Earlier, CBS News reported that a person-of-interest has been identified in the bombing. In a news conference Saturday afternoon, authorities provided another update, saying there's "no indication" that they're looking for another subject in the case. However, investigators said they were not prepared to identify any single individual just yet. In 2007 Mark Allen Campbell, who now prefers to go by Nicole Rose Campbell, of Waupun, Wisconsin was arrested for sexually assaulting and abusing his 10-year-old daughter and was sentenced to 34 years in prison. In December 2020 a federal judge declared that Campbell at age 49, now identifying as a transgender woman, has a Constitutional right to gender affirmation surgery, paid by the taxpayers. Racine Correctional Institute, a men's prison, where Campbell has been housed has allowed Campbell to dress in women's clothing and wear make-up. Campbell has received taxpayer-funded hormone treatments and counseling since being incarcerated. In 2013, six years into the prison term, Campbell requested gender confirmation surgery. A popular Russian YouTuber faces 15 years in prison after his girlfriend died during a livestream stunt where he made her stand outside in the freezing cold. Near-naked Valentina 'Valya' Grigoryeva, 28, was believed to have died of hypothermia after Russian streamer Stas Reeflay, 30, forced her to stand outside in subzero temperatures during a broadcast. Now witnesses and forensic specialists allege that earlier in the video he had inflicted appalling injuries on the woman, who had revealed she was pregnant on a previous livestream.
