Yeah 50BMG is on the bucket list but honestly, it's gonna be a safe queen if I get one.
BBBBUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTT
If I had to get a long range rifle which I don't have the space to really practice with, completely impractical and every time I pulled the trigger, I would spend eye watering amounts of money per round, CheyTac M300 Praetorian .408CT would be my go to.
**Rounds aren't that expensive,***
I hear you say.
See below.
Yup that's $14.50 a round. (Doesn't include shipping -if applicable, insurance, or state fees - California has that now on ammo I believe - NY, NJ, NC, VA and other states are waiting to see what happens to California to act. ) That's about average. Smaller amounts (10 round box) can cost up to $18-20 per round.
For context:
50 BMG is a far more popular round and you can get 200 rounds for about 800 bucks.
MY 338 LM runs from about $2.50- $7.00 depending on bullet type and weight.
