then bring up to a temperature of 149°F (65°C) and enjoy
Nigga, I just KNOW that you're not talking about pulled pork or pork ribs. True fall-off-the-bone goodness requires wet brining for 24 hours beforehand, then slow-cooked at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 hours. That's the temp when the fat melts and saturates the meat, as well as melting the connective tissue, which in turn creates moist pork goodness that's tender and slides off the bone clean. Top it off with some mumbo sauce and Old Bay; that's how you do it right.

Protip: If you need a knife to get the meat off the bone, then you done fucked up. The bone should slide out, with no meat on it.

The soul food shacks and rib shacks in Washington, DC do that shit right. Get that with some Mac and cheese, cornbread, and seasoned collard greens. Wash it all down with an ice-cold 40 ounce. Bonus points if you've got Trouble Funk on full blast.

did you know that the mongols would eat raw meat? they would put strips of meat directly on the backs of the horses that they would ride. it tenderized the meat and the sweat had salts that would preserve the meat kind of like jerky.

yummy yummy raw horse sweat meat

never would i put serious effort into making a meal. but i still want to eat healthy and for cheap. recently i figured out how to make a quick and simple vegetarian soup:

put frozen vegetables (yes, very lazy!) and canned pinto bean into a small pot, add water. while waiting for the water to boil, i scramble 2-3 eggs. once the water is boiling, it add the eggs, some hot sauce and 2 slices of cheese. then i stir until the cheese is melted and mixed in.

no idea why but i am full longer than i would be if i prepared a 4 egg omelette. plus it is way too tempting to add lots more cheese and mayo to the omelette. someday i am going to pull out my small rice maker and try adding brown rice.

i know the above is gay but for me it feels like i became a master chef. plus i only cook for myself.

What did you use to get the chocolate in the batter?

Did you skip the molasses or use a lighter kind since it did not specify blackstrap or w/e? They seem much lighter than the source.
Didn't have molasses so I subbed brown sugar. I also mistakenly added a bit less spice than the recipe called for. I also accidentally added 4tb extra butter. They were still insanely delicious but ended up being spicy sugar cookies. I have a huge sweet tooth so I loved all the icing, but I'd recommend putting on about half as much as I did in the picture.

This is definitely a recipe I'll be making every Christmas.

What did you use to get the chocolate in the batter?
I used cocoa powder and whole chocolate chips. The recipe I was using doesn't have them come out as crispy as you would think out of the waffle iron, so an optional step would be to put them in the oven for 6-10 minutes at 425 F flipping halfway through or use a toaster if you feel like that works better for you. I chose to reheat in the oven because I felt like the chocolate might've melted out into the toaster and fucked it up. Who knows for certain though. They're still really good without trying to get them crispy though. :)
