Prologue Spoilers: Yorinobu strangles Saburo to death. Jackie dies in the taxi after falling off a roof and getting shot a thousand times by Arasaka guards during the escape from the hotel while stealing the chip. Dexter Deshawn shoots V in the face. V is revived by the Keanu Reeves chip and digs out of a landfill. One of Yorinobu's bodyguards named Goro Takemura shoots Dexter Deshawn in the face. V is told that they have two weeks to live because Keanu Reeves is taking over their body.

The whole story takes itself way too seriously during all of this. Also Keanu Reeves is trying to be edgy as fuck in this game.

If anyone was wondering exactly how this game handles ammo, it's sort of like Borderlands where all the gun types have dedicated ammo. There's handgun ammo, shotgun ammo, sniper rifle ammo, SMG ammo, etc. It is not like Fallout where you get 9mm, 10mm, .308, etc. In other words, the game sucks.

It's also much more of an FPS than let's say Fallout 3/4/NV, but it's less of an FPS than shit like Boredomlands.

If any of you fagnuggets are wondering just how "next-gen" the game feels, the simple answer is that it absolutely doesn't. It feels, and plays, a lot like Fallout 4, and the graphics are somewhat below average IMO.

Also I just shot a bitch who then fell face-first into a concrete barrier and smashed both her head and the concrete barrier to pieces. IMMERSION!

Well, didn't you say you are playing on XBox?

The new COD looks like shit on XBox One, my brother has it.

West Virginia, mountain mamma, take me home, country roads.

I'm on Series X because I'm a turbofaggot.

Supposedly the whole reason that they delayed from November 19 to December 10 was because current gen versions were shit, and I can clearly see that. I'm assuming that there's already a patch for a lot of it, but because of the street date, Xbox won't let me download that fucking patch.

What I'm playing with is exactly what's on the disk itself, and what's on the disk is not ready for release to an absolutely hilarious extent.

Oh, and to the idiots who were touting this game as an "immersive sim" along the lines of Deus Ex, it is certainly not. None of the systems in this game interact in any meaningful way. Cops don't even give a fuck about gang members having shootouts five feet from them. The game feels extremely gamey and is not actually that immersive.

I will, however, admit that I'm extremely impressed by the number of destructible objects in the game and the detail when destroying some of them. You can punch pieces of concrete off benches, you can smash glass sighs to absolute pieces. I don't recall any other game that comes close to this in terms of what you can destroy in the environment.

CDPR outright lied about weapon customization. During some of the previews they claimed that weapons are "built of modules" allowing for deep customization - in reality, they are not. Weapons just have set numbers of mod slots. Most of them have a sight/scope slot and a muzzle slot, and a few have slots for miscellaneous "mods". You can swap out the scope/muzzle attachments freely, but mods are destroyed if removed.

If you were expecting weapon customization like Fallout 4 or Far Cry 3/4/5 then you're going to be very disappointed. It's more like the weapon customization in The Outer Worlds... which sucks balls.

The "crafting" is also a watered down mess. The game has tons of useless junk items, but they're only good for selling. Instead, the crafting simply requires items called "Components" that come in different rarity levels. In other words, you can use Epic Components to craft an Epic level drug or an Epic level grenade. It's incredibly stupid.

Oh, I forgot to mention that T-bug dies off-screen during the chip heist. Sorry, it just completely slipped my mind that the black chick who appeared in a single scene died off screen in the most nonchalant fashion.

Seriously, it was that fucking bad. I didn't even know she was dead until V got a dialog option to blame Jackie for T-bug being dead. I think she got fried when her hacking backfired or some shit... not that I care.

The patch fixed a lot of issues and introduced some new ones. Guns now float in the air after you kill an enemy. Your fists are classified as an "Assault Rifle". And there are still a lot of issues with the game's general design that aren't likely to ever be fixed with a patch.

For one, the A.I. is still completely retarded. You can hack enemies repeatedly from a distance and they will never find you... which is even more broken than it may sound since you can easily kill enemies this way.
