I mean if it were to be converted to fire something like (for example) 5.7 or a hypothetical derivative that fires a rifle-like cartridge.
all short action cartridges are not rifle rounds. You don't know what you're talking about. a 5.7 is a pistol round.
I meant to say Fiveseven, not 5.7, I mean the actual pistol which is only semi-auto. It'd be cool to see a full auto Fiveseven made into a PDW.
5.7×28mm cartridge is for the 5/7.
and Kel Tec already makes one. I don't like it. too much plastic, clamshell construction, and the weight is going to be thrown off as one empties out the mag
It would take a few parts and an hour to convert this to full auto. I'm sure KelTec already has the designs if full auto ever returns to the US civilian market. It won't pass the FBI endurance test so factory full autos are not being made.
Again kid you don't know what you are talking aobut.
I think a Hi-Power could be used to make a neat PCC.
What I'm saying is, I'd love to see more pistols (any cartridge and/or action) have an extended barrel, handguard and stock slapped onto them. To make cute PDW's, SMG's and PCC's.
Pistol carbine kits for the HiPower are available, though a little difficult to find. Buttstock attachments, etc., and you can get longer custom made barrels.
The question is why.
Range and power are not that much greater, and it's more cumbersome.
Don't be gay. Guns are not "yum." They are kick ass, fucking awesome, or Fucking Hell yea, or the like. You millennials/alfalfashave this tendency to fag everything up. Stop. Stop it right fucking now.
Neutering a rifle cartridge to pistol strength is doing the same thing but going the other way in design.
This is a 10.5 Daniel Defense in 556. The round leaves the barrel at just about 2600 fps which means it's officially lethal to about 60-70 yards max. Don't get me wrong, I can easily reach out to 200 yards and I wouldn't want to be shot with it either. What I mean is the 556 is speed dependent on being effective. Anything under 2500 feet per second and the bullet is not guaranteed to fracture
However, due to the design of the bullet you'll get more predictable flight characteristics and more consistent terminal ballistics (wounding).
So if you want to know about guns, there's this thing called the internet. You can use it to learn about guns so the next time you won't look like a retard. It's ok to be wrong, but it's clear you don't have the foggiest notion on what you're talking about.
