My dad keeps telling that most jobs that don't involve heavy physical exertion and machinery like fixing air conditioners and cars (which is his job) are useless.

If you're talking about the trades, Plumbing and Electrical are becoming extremely over saturated due to the fact that they make the most money and it's far easier on your body.

Still not a bad job to pursue mind you but i've met experienced electricians irl who have had years without work at one point.
