I've decided to lose 50lbs in 2 months. Post here if you also want to shed the fatty demon inside. ( EDF Weight Loss Thread)

I'd say nobody over 300lbs+ is allowed to post here because at that point they're just a lost cause, but they probably couldn't fit through the door anyways. Remember gang, the first step to any weight loss journey is to start hating fat people. How can you be motivated to lose weight if you don't hate the way you look?
dude I agree, I'm fat but not a landwhale, but I don't want to lose weight because I'm busy bulking and gaining muscles

I lost gigantic amount of weight some time ago by simply A) walking 10000 steps per day (not that strict but in general long walks will do it) and B) dropping all unnecessary snacks (still miss my mcdonalds). Losing weight isn't such huge task as lazy fatasses (me) claim it to be.

TLDR: dont eat greasy shit and move.

I have never been fat or even slightly overweight. But neither have my parents or siblings. You could say it’s due to superior genetics, but I’ve always consumed a healthy diet that was mostly whole foods. Also, I have always been physically active.

Please, will someone tell me what it’s like to be a fatty? Is it difficult to move around? Are you constantly hungry and constantly eating?

I couldn't say. I have been overweight but never to the point where it's affected my mobility, I crave soda and chips sometimes. Right now I'm 30lbs overweight which I consider obscene and gross, I literally cannot comprehend how chunguses reach 300+lbs and live with themselves. As for your weight, it's 100% diet and exercise, genetics doesn't affect the laws of thermodynamics and glucose oxygenation is glucose oxygenation and I'm tired of people pushing the very unscientific idea that metabolism is somehow affected by genetics.

Most problems in society people make for themselves, but losing weight is almost impossible because food is designed to be addictive, like literally they add drugs to food so they can hook you. And the whole bullshit of "just avoid it" isn't reasonable when there's a McDonald's on every corner.

You know how drug addicts get clean? They completely cut out everyone in their life who uses and stays away from trap houses and dealers. Testing your will power by exposing yourself to temptations is guaranteed to lead to failure. It's why religion focuses on staving temptations rather than walking amongst it and trying to overcome, even brainless religions understand that will power is literally a limited ability like stamina.

So imagine being a heroin addict, and literally everyone around you uses Heroine in small amounts to stay alive, and on every single corner, literally every single one, there is a Heroin Shack where they sell 100% clean black tar heroin and you can buy bags and bags of it for super cheap. You see advertising for Heroin on TV, on the Internet, on the radio. There's a Heroin Mega Store where they carry thousands of different types of drugs, literally you can buy more than you can even possibly use. Oh and on top of all that, you literally have to keep using Heroin daily or you'll die, you can't actually quit cold Turkey, you have to just slow down your usage.

This is effectively what food addicts are up against and society needs to stop acting like the inability to surmount these conditions is reasonable. I have been able to break my addiction down and force myself to not go over a certain weight limit or calorie intake and generally I keep myself active and healthy, but that is only because I have money to buy healthy whole foods, have access to resources and also have a higher than average IQ (not that in particularly smart but this does directly correlate to weight management). If I was born like everyone else in America, honestly I'd probably be a 300lb+ Fatty Chungo.

The ability to store food energy as fat is definitely tied to genetics. When there are famines, some people are able to survive on the same amount of calories as people who don’t survive - and their energy expenditures are relatively the same.

That’s where discipline, self-control, and a history of eating healthy foods comes into play. I absolutely hate fast food. Compared to the food I make for myself or that my parents make, fast food is disgusting. It does not taste good.

That is a false dichotomy. It’s false because if you eat actual good food as the basis of your diet, you won’t be tempted by crappy food options.

The concept of “addiction” is a red-herring that’s designed to absolve people from the choices they make. Addiction does not exist. There are only choices that can be made. People can always make the correct choices. It’s that simple.

100% this. I lost 20 pounds over the course of three months by simply cutting calories in and going on 1.5hr walks to burn off more calories. And I'm basically not even trying or significantly adjusting my diet all that much. It's WAAY easier than I though it would be. By summer I hope to be below 200 again.
