See, from what I'm hearing, this is supposedly about some kind of balance between coming-of-age, a young woman learning to assert her independence from the values of her parets, and how modern social media has essentially corrupted that. It sounds interesting, but if that were the case, the poster should have had something to indicate that, like, just put something around the picture to show that it was a social media post, then the rest of the poster around the social media post.
Netflix probably thought they could emulate the controversy surrounding the Joker movie and pull in more viewers. But a murderer in clown makeup is not the same as 11 year olds twerking.
