Still, its a reminder that even though weve been using yt as though it is, nothing we have is permanent, companies can take down whatever they want no matter how many people use it or whether it falls under fair use. I mean, it really makes you realize that it's surprising we even had/ve all these huge artist music videos up on yt (most are unofficial uploads)
Copyright law is a sack of shit. The dmca was made by old people who don't know anything about internet culture or how it works, it's also just outdated and the shit gives the greedy companies 100% control to erase or block anything that has their ip (for example: the 1.5 mil. videos blocked here bc of sesac) even if it's fair use (which the actual definition and protections of has been heavily bent), at a moments notice
