retarded. You're going to be focused on the sights and the threat ahead of you and other possible threats. You're not going to care about barrel temperature. the bullet counter would be a distraction. Generally you pull the trigger until the slide locks back - empty, or if you are in a lull, you do what is called a tactical load, load a full mag, and then you do note how many rounds in the mag. Save that half used mag for last.

Round counter may be useful for something with hundreds of rounds but not 8-21. Fucking hell.
I disagree. It could be very useful in a situation where you want to conserve ammo and need to know exactly how many rounds you have left.
