I painted her once for art school, shes beautiful. That pic i think was from the late 70s/80s Nat Geo. Made me wanna be a photojournalist. Her eyes are amazing.
They found her again right b4 the Afghan war, life had been hard on her (no surprise there) but idk if she survived the war with the Taliban.

US Troop numbers are going to be reduced to 5K or less by the end of the year. That's roughly by half. I believe Canada pulled out completely in 2018? 2014 they ended combat operations in 2011.

We'll always maintain a presence there. It's where the bad guys are. Same with Iraq and the rest of the ME. It's the new normal. Gone are the old days of the cold war with the Soviet block. Now it's a luke warm war with Acknad.

I agree with what you are saying. That said, I think the CIA wants to control as much of the world opium trade as they can, and that takes 'murikan troops. Send in the tinfoil/coolstory ratings, but opium and its derivatives are one of the most widely accepted universal currencies available.
