Thoughts on why Gen Z is not drinking alcohol?

Because they see a ton of cautionary tales and they didn't have their parents beat them up and belittle them as kids.

Whilst I can’t speak for every Gen Z person, I know why I don’t drink alcohol: I hate the taste of it.

But other people have their theories on the matter and some of them seem plausible.

It's probably a good thing for my generation

Because they have access to lots of other drugs and I'm kinda serious, they all smoke weed/pop pills/fentanyl meth cocaine. Theres like 50 trillion RCs from China you can order by the pound, LEGALLY.

That and a cultural shift around the substance, like cigarettes. That being said, I'm drinking wine right now and the industry is still a trillion dollar giant so it's not like alcohol is going away, it's just not the cultural zeitgeist drug de jour anymore.

And yet most drug users are more passive and lethargic in comparison to drunks who pick fights and beat up on people for no reason.
Ah yes, it’s the classic druggie argument of “Marijuana is essentially harmless and so are most other drugs.” Nevermind the fact that druggies commit all sorts of crimes - including violent crimes - to feed their habits. Nevermind that druggie countries like Mexihell and Afghanistan are awash in murderous violence. Nevermind that druggies are the most selfish and self-centered people you’ll ever meet because their whole existence revolves around getting that next hit of poison.

Taking what I say out of context again, ayy?

I've had another epiphany today. I told someone about it. Not for public consumption, however.
