Capsaicin literally acts like a neurotoxin in the human body.
You aren't exactly baseline human, and you probably mass about three or four times what an average jap teenager does, so you'd probably be fine. And seeing as you indicate a familiarity with being assraped you're probably conditioned to handle a bit of discomfort as well.

I handle spice just fine. If something tastes like shit I can always just pajeet it up with massive amounts of curry and it'll taste like curry.
For actual food that has a distinctive taste of named ingredients from a named species of animal I'd quite like to taste the ingredient, with the spice or herb being a taste enhancer rather than a nullifier.
Doing kebabs today, with a sauce probably clocking in at 3-4000 scoville heat units - so not really that spicy, but you can actually taste the other ingredients. Same goes for alcohol. I'll go for flavour rather than pure alcohol content any day, as I am not an alcohol powered bending unit. Currently enjoying an Arboga Extra Stark, a delightfully hoppy beer with a kick brewed from the same basic recipé for the last 650 years.
