The yankee power metal is different than the euro stuff, it's tastefully mixed with thrash metal and the cheesier side is stuff like Manowar and Virgin Steele.
On that note I can't listen to Helloween without wanting to vomit, listened to some a while ago and had to bail after hearing the song "Future World".

Here's a great classic of the genre, funny how the vocalist sounds like Bruce Dickinson. There's a one grating song though, but the guitar work is marvelous.

Some decent stoner metal, sounds tr00 enough.
Currently listening to the Spiral Grave album, sounds like authentic dadcore type stuff. Creed style singer, and inoffensive song structure. I've given this album 6 minutes and it still hasent pulled me in.
As for Satan's Host, I dident really like the vocal style too much. I know it's power metal at its core, but I don't like it. To be fair I've always been picky and weird about my vocals. I mostly listen to music like a metalhead, which for normal people means focusing on the instrumentation rather than vocals. When the production forces the vocals at the forefront, I kind of don't like that most of the time. Doesn't leave room for what I'm actually listening for.
And if they do that, then at least balance it out with solid instrumentation. With these two albums there's either too much vocals, or dull instrumentation.
