I never played one of the Demon Souls games because even talented gamers claimed they were ungodly difficult to play. There's like very few save points during the game, right?
Yes you can save. It's not impossible. People droll over the "difficulty" never played Ghouls n' Ghosts or a dozen NES games I can name off my head.
But are the save points relatively few and far between - i.e. they're near the very end of each level?
This is a remake so who knows. But the original was pretty generous.
Hmm, I did not know that. I was under the impression that you could spend lots of time battling through a difficult level but if U died before a certain point, you'd have to start the level all over again.
No, not for souls games. It's pretty open world the save points are scattered. Most of the world is semi connected so shortcuts to these points often open up.

Yes if you are new to them. But on the PC I will use cheats if I die more than 5 times. I dont have time to "get gud"

bit of advice, video game "journalists" speedrun games in god mode, and cant actually play games. i cant remember what game it was but they started complaining about no godmode function so the developers had to patch in a "journalist mode"

Good lord the Ghouls N' Ghosts games. I had the SNES one with a Game Genie as a kid and still couldn't beat the last level.
The spiritual successors, the Maximo games, were also unrelentingly hard.
I noticed something: the PS5’s controllers are shaped very much like Xbox controllers.

next gen the playstation will just use rebranded xbox controllers
