The NHL is filled with players who came from financially poor backgrounds whether it's the Canadian plains or Czechia or Slovakia or Russia or Sweden or Finland. You don't have to own the best equipment to play hockey.
Per the NBA, it is a terrible product. Everyone thinks they are 3-point shooters when in reality only about 5% of the league is decent at shooting 3's. So you end up with teams going back and forth heaving up long range shots and most of them just clanging off the rim. Also, the NBA now allows palming of the ball and traveling. The league is a joke and it gets poor ratings in the US which is why it depends so heavily on Chinese support.

Well, Canuckistan is fortunate to not share a border with a turd world dump like Mexihell. It’s invaders generally fly in from India, China, Jamaica, etc, and it’s much easier to stop that type of migration.
Trump actually did fairly well to combat illegal immigration. He got Mexihell to accept the Remain In Mexihell policy and made that blighted country deploy its military to the border region. And Trump did build a fair amount of wall along the border, but of course he was hampered by nuisance lawsuits brought by Leftists which often were adjudicated by non-white judges.

It’s important to remember that Greenland - with which Canada essentially shares a border - is actually a part of Denmark. But I wouldn’t label Denmark as being a turd world nation.

It is technically an autonomous overseas territory, not a part of Denmark. They are represented in the Danish Folketing (parliament) and Denmark is represented in the person of the ombudsman.
The territory is outside the EU and EU laws do not apply apart from in trade with the EU. They are in fact less a part of Denmark than Puerto Rico is a part of the United States.
