I forgot to mention that if you look at the history of Hockey during the winter Olympics, in which the teams are strictly made from players representing their own countries, Canada has done consistently better than the American teams

The Olympics only occur once every four years, so they don’t really tell us much. The NHL plays 82 games EACH YEAR PER TEAM, so that’s a much better marker of excellence and, in that regard, the American teams have been absolutely dominant: 31 Stanley Cups won in 31 CONSECUTIVE YEARS!

Clearly, America is the world’s premier hockey nation.
