In my case though I'm from Queensland and I have no convicts in my family tree. My direct ancestry on my dad's side goes back to the First Fleet and settlers from Germany & Scotland in the 1800s, and my ancestry on my mum's side goes back to German, Irish & Scottish settlers in the early-to-mid 1800s.
