i like PARTS of california... i love the northern woodsy areas n winding roads. mt shasta's p nice. solvang a p solid day trip as well, n i like the tudor-ish appearance to the buildings (big fan of dark wood exterior framing). redwoods stay pretty. miss in n out n the al pacino themed italian restaurant in tehachapi. buuuuuuuut i also didn't like driving through fucking wildfire smoke every summer.
i guess cali can have it because driving up the coast from socal to wa n seeing the fog roll in off the ocean into the trees while the waves crash is always healing to the soul. also love me a nice lighthouse.
