You can confirm the accusations though, which I did. That said, it turned out the crash was over Guangxi. With is nowhere near Taiwan. Possibly an attempt by the 50¢ army to paint Taiwan as the aggressor.

Ok. China has been literally invading India for the past two weeks now. There has been military conflict between the two. India is not the one causing trouble. Even if India DID say that Taiwan shot down a Chinese fighter, the one could surmise that the purpose is to get the US embroiled into the situation with Taiwan. The US Navy has been active in the China theater for over a decade. The accusation would serve no purpose. The US is there already.
Finally, if there is problems with China/India or China/Taiwan there is literally a three carrier taskforce in the area.
