Except that race cannot be made irrelevant. Maysam mentioned that Europeans, similar though they may be, have a history of constant warfare with each other. This is because humans are naturally tribal. Tribe is the ordering principle of all humans.
Man and woman make families, families make towns, towns make cities and cities make nations. Nations one could say, make a race. Humans make tribes, and they protect their tribes from other tribes, and they pillage other tribes for the benefit of their own tribe. Because men love their wives and children and parents, they love their families, likewise they love their cities and nations and so on. And they will do anything to protect them and to make them great.
When people are of the same race, ie a tribe made of multiple relatively similar nations (like in europe) they divide themselves amongst nations. When they are of the same nation, they divide themselves amongst cities and regional powers (like how Ancient Greek city-states fought each other). When they are of the same town, they divide themselves amongst their families (and the italians had vendettas amongst each other). For the same reason that families are important and useful and good (as conservatives typically hold) they lead to the larger divides amongst humans in general. Family is unity - that can lead to war or cooperation when in contact with other families.
What is important here is that since each family looks out for their own, cooperation amongst families/tribes must always be in line with the survival and advantage of ones own family/tribe. This is what whites in america dont understand.
If coexistence amongst Europeans leads to so much war for Europe, what makes you think that blacks and whites (tribes so extremely different) are going to ride onto the rainbow holding each others hands for a glorious new America? Hasn't worked so far. Any concession against "racism" (in reality, natural tribalist tendencies) has been in the end to the detriment of white people. Other races won't conceed to faggot equality nonsense that white people love to hold. White people guilt themselves into giving up their tribes power for the purposes of egalitarianism (otherwise they are racist). Other tribes, instead of giving up their power like retards, take advantage of the situation as they naturally should, taking the power that whites gave them for free.

Of course skin tone in that sense will be relevant. It is what we are. It's how you identify, describe, and recognize others. However, one can look at a person's actions rather then base solely on skin tone. Rotten people no matter what color should be in jail. Retards no matter what color should be in special homes. Mental cases no matter what color should be in hospitals, etc. That's what I mean by making skin tone irrelevant. But as one can see the progressives have been murking up the edges and calling into question of what is acceptable or what is not. Everything needs "reform." By "reform" they mean tossed out and reinvented. However, this doesn't have to be, minor tweaking is all that is often required. But you can't have a soft revolution without tossing out all of the "outdated" policies.
People who agree to a standard social norms can live in relative harmony and peace even if they are of different ethnicities. I mean it's certainly possible, it has been done, and is largely done now. You may not "like" or you may "hate" your neighbor but you're not going to erect a cross in their front yard, and ignite it for the sake of some racial statement. Most people don't want to bother with that shit, it's too much work, most likely they'll just mutter racial slurs under their breath or at their dinner table and life will just go on. It wouldn't bother me if someone flew a Confederate/Nazi/Gay/Trannie Flag in their yard, in fact I appreciate people who actually do that sort of stuff, it tells me outright what their policies are and what I am to expect when dealing with that person. Makes it far easier for me, and makes me more diligent in carrying concealed.
The pendulum has reached it's zenith in it's swing to the opposite, and most likely there will be a backlash and it will soon swing back again. There are lots of things going on at once in Merica and all this ANTIFA bullshit is going to birth another tyrant just like it did the first time.

What I'm generally trying to say that a nation divided cannot stand, and a multi-cultural, multi-religious and multi-racial "nation" is divided at its core. The social fabric to be healthy and strong and tied together must be coherent. The only way that a multicultural nation may stand is if it has a strong tribal core which has most or all of the power. The greek empire stood as it held the East and it was ruled by the greeks. The roman empire stood as it rule Europe and Asia and Africa, and it was ruled by the romans. America stands as it rules from California to New York, because it is ruled by white people. The more this coherent core degenerates, the more chaos ripples everywhere and the nation in the end must be balkanized or divided amongst the most powerful tribes it houses. This is especially true in democratic nations, where the people play a big role in the government.
Basically the more accepting and tolerant the lead population (ostensibly white christians in this case) becomes, the more power to the other tribes, the more divided the nation becomes.

Maybe you mean that if Americans of all races put their differences aside and put America first there would be peace. I'm not doubting that theoretically it would, and it some small cases it does happen, with black hardline conservatives and whatnot. But that's like saying that if we didn't fight there wouldn't be any war. It's a meaningless tautology. People aren't going to put their tribe's will aside to work with everyone else (unless youre white lol). As I said there are two ways of having multiple people peacefully - if they are in different countries (thats how countries formed in the first place btw, different tribes putting dividing lines between each other) or if you have a strong core tribe that rules the country, like in Rome.

As if being a melting pot of races isnt bad enough, America is also a melting pot of every ideology religion and philosophy there exist.
